Photographic reports of recent fishing trips...

...sweet memories

With a busy job and a family at home, there usually isn't enough time to fit in a fishing trip. However, every once in a great while, an opportunity presents itself that is too good to pass. Usually, these come in the guise as business trips with some spare time, but occasionally a full-fledged fishing trip is squeezed in. I'll try and document such trips here.
An opportunity arose to attend the FFF conclave in West Yellowstone in August 2004 as a demo fly tier. Of course, flying in and out just for two days of fly tying would be almost a waste of time and money, so a plan was made to attach a few days of fishing. Here you can see some of the pictures I shot while there.
November usually brings the British Fly Fair, Stoke-on-Trent, a nice flyfishing only show in the tradition of the late Dutch Flyfair, organized by Steve Thornton and Steve Cooper. As last year, I was scheduled to tie at the BFF, and as last year, arranged with mate Herman Broers to sneak in a day of grayling fishing in Wales; this time before the show rather than after. We had acquainted Mr. Charles Picton, of Builth Wells, through a mutual friend. Charles, apart from being the proprietor of Kudos rods, holds a fishing lease on several miles on the fabulous river Irfon, a tributary of the Wye.
