Henk Verhaar

Henk is a chemist by training, and a biologist by nature. He holds a PhD in predictive aquatic toxicology (i.e. he knows, or pretends to know, how dangerous chemicals are to aquatic wildlife) and works as an environmental risk assessment consultant to the chemical industry. Together with a coworker, he heads the Dutch branch of ENVIRON Corporation, ENVIRON Netherlands B.V.

In his spare time, Henk is an avid fly angler and -tier, who has demonstrated fly tying on a number of international platforms, and who infrequently publishes on aspects of fly fishing and fly tying, both on the web and in print.

Henk's professional interests are many, but are built around several core technologies: QSAR, multivariate statistics, and numerical modelling of kinetics.

Hanneke de Bakker

Hanneke is a medical biologist by training, and an adventurer by nature. She holds a PhD in immunology and currently works as an assistant to the head of the KNO department at the Amsterdam University Hospital AMC.

In here spare time, she tries to keep in shape and hopes to spend more time traveling.

Floor Verhaar

Hanneke and Henk have a 14-year old son, named Floor. He is in secondary school (junior high for you 'merkins), and is a competitive swimmer and cyclist.
